What GPA do you have to have to be in Gphi or Tridelt?

These aren't numbers that are supposed to public and no one outside of the house can tell you for sure but it's probably above a 3.0. Don't worry about, just go into recruitment with an open mind and what happens happens. Grade cuts are usually after the first round so you'll know pretty soon if you made it.

Go Aphi

If you had at least 3.1+ GPhi won't cut you (for grades) and. For Tri Delta a 3.4+ should be fine. Just based on the combination of these two sororities I can already tell you're going in with a bit of entitlement. Keep an open mind because unfortunately GPhi and Tri Delta are highly coveted and competitive to get in and there are enough pretty and popular girls going through recruitment to fill a pledge class up 5 times over. Pay close attention to DG, Aphi, and Zeta you might feel comfortable there too. Remember at the end of the day recruitment is not about status it's where you feel you will find you home away from home at Mizzou.

It was a simple question. Where do you get the idea that the OP has a sense of entitlement? Especially since GPhi is not very selective and TriDFelt is not as selective as it once was. GPhi is probably low middle tier and TriDelt is high middle tier. Now, if she had asked ab out ChiO, PiPhi and Theta.....

What about Theta makes you think the OP should have asked about them? Honestly curious bc a lot of girls going through rush love Gphi and Tridelt and they both are great houses with different things to offer. Theta is a great house also but isn't all that it's cracked up to be in the past either. Less accomplishments on campus and they aren't consistently top in grades anymore either. Every house has strengths and weaknesses so don't tear one house down with your opinions while highlighting others when a PNM simply has a question with an answer

Theta is one of the most selective houses, along with ChiO and PiPhi.

Keep dreaming about tier order, HILARIOUS. And to ^ they are the most selective based on GRADES while social houses are selective based on other criteria. Grades are not the only thing that get you into a sorority and if they are, you aren't in a very good sorority are you Hun.

I've actually heard Pi Phi isn't very strict on grade cuts

PiPhi is VERY strict when it comes to grade cuts. In the top three with Theta and ChiO.

Almost every house has the same GPA cutoff....Theta Chi O Pi Phi Kappa Tri Delt AXO KD and ADPi all have around a 3.3 GPA cutoff. So are they really THAT selective? All of these houses maintain somewhere between a .2 GPA difference when it comes to semester averages and I really think this "selective-ness" when it comes to grades that people talk about on here is really just an idea people are trying to put into PNMs' heads because I've never heard it be a topic of discussion except on this website... I mean all of those sororities I listed are above the All Sorority, All Female, and All Greek GPA averages which is something that not every PHA sorority can say so obviously these chapters are all taking grades into consideration when rushing PNM's, not just 3 houses...

You don't know what you are talking about. Unless you are at each and every selection session of each and every house, you can't possibly know this. I only know about my house, but I can tell you you are wrong. Our grade cutoff is not nearly as low as a 3.3.

So then obviously your rushing based solely on a GPA "not nearly as low as a 3.3" isn't working because your house is consistently a .2 difference compared to the sororities that "have a 3.3 GPA cutoff

There's really no way to argue this because even if your house DOES have a way higher GPA cutoff, then their average grades are lowering significantly once they begin membership in your chapter....

Why would you say a house with a higher grade cutoff is rushing exclusively on GPA??? That couldn't be further from the truth. We have to make so many cuts that GPA is just the starting point. Then we look at so many other factors that your head would spin. That's the difference between a selective house and a house that takes who it can get.

^This is true for my house, too. The first cut is all about grades. But then we have to keep cutting after each round and it's really difficult, because there are so many good candidates going through rush. But if you had spent even five minutes in our sessions you would know that grades are just a small part of the equation.

Some people in lower tier houses have no idea how heart-wrenching it can be during cut sessions for upper tier houses. Almost 2,000 girls have gone through rush in recent years. We can take just 1/20th of those girls. Most of them want to be in our house. Do you know how difficult it is to cut 95% of those girls?

Recruitment means different things in different houses. I appreciate this perspective. I am in a middle tier house and the way we look at it is we win some and we lose some. But it seems that some houses have to cut even the girls they like a lot. That must be difficult.

3.3 would make you safe

by: !!!

I agree but then again keep in mind chapters do take 1-2 grade risks every year! So if your GPA is lower than a 3.3 don't count out all the houses with higher grade cut offs because if your resume looks good, you're a decent person, and you have a great connection with a girl, then they could be pulling for you and you wouldn't even know it!
