pi phi grades

by: curious

Hi i'm just wondering what Pi Phi's grade cut is? I have a 3.1 and am just curious about that sorority. Do you think my 3.1 will limit me from sororities? If so which ones

PiPhi's grade cuts are among the strictest. Is your 3.1 weighted or unweighted? It might seem like grade cuts are arbitrary, but they really aren't. Sororities with grade cuts (and some sororities don't have them) want to make sure you know how to study and that academics won't be difficult for you. They also want to make sure you won't drag down your pledge class gpa or the entire house's gpa. It's especially important first semester because new member and homecoming requirements can be demanding. I would say your 3.1 also is a problem for Theta, ADPi and ChiO. Perhaps others, but I don't know much about them.

your GPA could potentially be an issue for Kappa Tridelt Chi O and Theta...but these houses usually give out one or 2 grade risks so just really open up and be yourself when you're visiting chapters and your GPA may not affect your chances at membership. Also if you worked a lot in hs or were involved in a lot, let them know that!

Most grade risks go to legacies whose sisters are in the house.
