What ended up being the total number of PNMs this year and how will it end up affecting pledge class sizes?

That 1,100 figure was a preliminary number from before registration closed.

I'm guessing quota will be 80-85. I also predict that there will be a higher need to COB

Most of us are hoping pledge classes will be smaller than that. 85 is much too big. There are girls in my pledge class I've never even met!

Since there's less girls going through will that mean there's a better chance of getting in a house? Or will there be a worse chance since sororities are taking less girls?

That is not how it works. The size of the new member class is determined by the number of girls who turn in a card after preference. If all 1554 girls turn in a card, then the possible size of the pledge classes would be about 103 (1554 divided by 15 - the number of sororities at mizzou). That will never happen - many girls drop out for various reasons. That is why quota is different every year - based on the number of girls who remain in rush and turn in a card. PHA is the final decision maker on the size of new member class and it isn't determined until after the PMs turn in their cards.

That's not exactly true. It's not purely mathematical and the individual houses have some discretion.
