That is not always true. I am from Kansas, both my dad and sister went to Mizzou, but we sometimes cheer for KU basketball. That is just how it is. Just because I go to Mizzou doesn't mean I can't cheer on KU BASKETBALL every once in a while. Do I like KU, no, I don't, but that doesn't mean I'm going to cheer on a team that they are playing against just because. We aren't even in the same conference anymore so it shouldn't even really matter.

He grew up in Kansas City. It's not uncommon for someone to be a KU BASKETBALL fan. Just like all the above posts have said.

He's a Jayhawk BASKETBALL fan. And if you were raised in Kansas, as he was, you probably would be too in recent years. But that's the only KU sport he supports, and it doesn't negate the fact that he came to Mizzou originally for journalism and is a Mizzou grad in economics. He is one of our own and we should be proud.
