by:

Last question. Of course I'm semi interested in the upcoming election, but are there some houses that are crazy election? Like already have their candidate? Ok, either strong dem or rep houses?

I get my news from The Skimm, Clover, NYT, WSJ and like many of their well-informed ladies in Greektown I am going to make up my own mind without pressure from anyone else in my house.

All of our houses have girls that hold different views, and politics are not something you will discuss during recruitment so a house couldn't really recruit by political views. I am a big progressive, but I have friends in my house that are super conservative. We don't discourage any type of political discourse or disagreement in our house but we also like to remember that above all, we are all sisters. So no, no house has a candidate that they are all supporting or anything. I'm houses attract different types of girls that might lean a certain way but it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Remember that greek life is full of conservatives. Mizzou is different because there are a greater amount of liberals in greek life, and on campus due to the journalism school. Now when I say greater, I mean maybe 10-20% liberal at most. In my chapter of 115 we have maybe 7 or 8 guys that would have voted for Bernie.

I am sick to death of people who think that journalists are automatically liberal. We are journalists because we seek the truth and because we feel it is our obligation and calling to inform the public and expose ignorance at every level. That doesn't make us liberal, that makes us responsible. And anyone who says otherwise has not spent a minute in journalism school and has spent far too much time listening to reactionary rants from people who blame journalists when their own candidate's ignorance is exposed. Mizzou has the best journalism school in the nation. We take our mission seriously. You might try to be a bit better informed yourself.

Science majors not being republican because of global warming?! You've got to be kidding. Give us some credit, most of us are intelligent enough to know that if dems keep spending our money on stupidity we're going to default WELL before the environment collapses. That's literally the worst thing I've ever heard, that simple minded mentality is EXACTLY why this country is in so much debt. Your leaders know exactly how to make you happy, spend on the environment how nice and pleasant. Instead of focusing on the immediate issues such as spending trillions of dollars that aren't our own

You can't even major in "science" for one, so not clearly you aren't. And good luck planting trees and saving the plant when all of our banks go bankrupt :) enjoy. You people are what's wrong in this world PRIORITIES people. Seriously and these are the people who vote. It's so sad, if you had any idea of how serious the debt situation in this country was - and the impact that can have on our country, you'd do a 180. But that's the problem, most Americans aren't informed. Y'all don't bother learning about money because it's "boring" or "complicated" but it's really actually quite simple - our government is not paying back their loans. What happens when you don't pay back your loans? No one is in a worse position than America and our leaders don't stop spending so that uneducated liberals can feel like they're helping the world through spending billions on helping the environment... Don't think a country can default? Don't think it could happen to us? It happened to Greece, look it up, it's scary. It happened to them and their debt was the smallest fraction of what ours is.

Okay I'm a Biology Major, and you used the term science major too. The flooding of costal cities, mass extinctions, epidemics, famine, drought/water wars, and toxic air/water seems a lot scarier than economic collapse. Look at what the government is actually spending money on before you blame the environment for our debt.

While those are all definitely a threat, you need to realize the urgency of the debt crisis - those other issues will take time to have a significant impact (and will never reach the impact caused by default) whie the debt crisis is an immediate threat. This next term that has to be the main focus and I know to Clinton it isn't

Also, I'm not going to be continuing this conversation. The PNM that asked this doesn't care, no one on here reading this cares, and this has nothing to do with greek life anymore.
