i know this sounds stupid
by: EmbarrassedI am from out of state and one of my friends (a year older) also went out of state to school. She is at a major university with 20+ sororities. When I told her I planned to go through rush she said good luck with that, people in sororities have to sing all the time. When I asked her about that, she says she just remembers walking around the part of her campus where sororities are last winter during and everyone was singing. Especially outdoors on the porches and steps. Now, this may sound stupid, but there is no worse singer on this planet than me. I am totally tone deaf and when sound does come out it sounds like some sort of large mammal fighting for its life. I am the joke of my family. I was even kicked out of the children's choir at church and, I swear, I thought I was just mouthing the words. So, is there REALLY a lot of singing in sororities at Mizzou. Do you HAVE to sing? What if you can't sing? Should I reconsider this whole rush thing? I realize this is a stupid question, but this is the kind of thing that keeps me awake at night. Help!

um idk what she is talking about, only like 20 girls actually sing during recruitment and everyone has to do a chant type thing but that doesn't require any talent. I guess she could be talking about serenades which sororities don't do that often and even if they do it doesn't have to be any good. Is she even in a sorority?

She said there was singing all the time on her campus. I want to know if that's true at Mizzou, too.
