rec letter and legacies
by: Quick q
If you have a legacy (like an Aunt) who was in a sorority does it make any sense to have that same person write a review letter?
I apologize if this is a stupid question.

It's not a stupid question at all. Just to clarify a few things, the older adult isn't the legacy, you are. And most houses consider someone to be a legacy if their older sister, mother or grandmother was in a sorority. Usually (and I know this is true for my house) cousins and aunts are not counted. But you can list them (because some houses count cousins and aunts) and, by all means, have them write a rec. The best recs are the ones written by people who really know you well and can write a personal anecdote or two about you and your family.
