each house has something to offer!
by: SoIt seems that everyone has been hearing over and over about the 'top' houses..It's pretty much a dated 'top' house choice, but historically, because they are amongst the oldest with the most legacies going through recruitment, Tri Delt, ChiO and PiPhi are often called top on this website-all absolutely wonderful houses with amazing girls, but top-we have too many good houses to just pull out a few 'top'(remember, it's totally based upon personal opinions-what's right for one girl is not right for another). There are several houses that have undergone some pretty radical changes in the past year or so-AXO, GPhi, AlpahPhi, DG, Adpi, SK,Zeta and Phi Mu(for many of these houses it's pretty apparent that it was even surprising to them that they broke out of, or added credibility academically to their 'stereotypes'). There are other houses that have been and continue to be outstanding houses here-Theta, KKG and KD-many girls gaining national attention this year for positive things they've accomplished in and outside of greek life. Tri Sig is the newest house here and continues to make strides-the past few years are proving to pull some stand out girls who want to make a name not only for themselves, but their sorority. This house presents such opportunity for those girls out there that want to really make a difference(and they are, it just takes time)absolutely the house to watch! Go in to recruitment and be open to anything and everything!

So much of the tiers is based off old old traditions and really the houses haven't done anything to have a great rep in recent years. If it were up to my time here and my take on the houses tiers would be:
Top:
GPhi
Tridelt
APhi
AXO
Pi Phi
Mid:
Theta
Kappa
XO
DG
Phi Mu
Bottom:
ADPi
KD
SK
Zeta
Sigma
BUT it only makes sense that tiers are based on selectivity/desirability and my ranking obviously isn't based on those factors at all. I just feel like the main reason the top houses are desired is they have a favourable history of being top, so everyone sees it that way even when they don't deserve it. It's definitely a cycle that works in their favour but as tridelt knows from experience, the title can be lost with a big enough screw up.

What in the world are you talking about? Theta, Kappa, APhi and ADPi have just about as many legacies as TriDelt, PiPhi and ChiO. The number of legacies has absolutely nothing to do with a house's popularity, no matter how many times in a day you post differently.

Having friends in almost every house(not all) I would say the biggest change I see is for some houses going from 'stereotypical" to making their own name.Gphi def seems to have way more of those girls that stayed in to study as opposed to go out and party-but that was prob clear on their resume. alphaphi had actually a tone of 'cobs' that were great students. once they get rid of their upper half-exec-and go with the newest pledge class they are aimed to be one of the top 4houses in the next years(their exec board this year is better than last but still WAY too much drama in greek town-and honestly dg is quickly climbing to where they were-hopefully newest recruits r strong, axo-going in to recruitement with the rep of being sweetest and now actually 'fun' girls is a plus, and sk stepping up their game w not only pretty girls but driven and great gpas-lots of completion out there!

It's very true, chapters are trying to change and improve themselves but it takes time. Tridelt it didn't work out for some reason though idk
