active rec letters

I don't know of any, but I think this would be an iffy situation. If you had a rec from an active, and some people in the house didn't really like the active, that would work against you. But if the rec was from an older alum, what she would have to say would be more important than who said it.

I wouldn't ask an active at mizzou, but I would ask an active at another school. A person at mizzou (if they already know you) can just express there opinion of you to their sisters. Some houses don't take rec letters from actives so I would also look into that beforehand!
