final tiers before recruitment

by: greek goddess

TOP:
Chi O/ Pi Phi

UPPER MID:
Kappa/AXO/ADPi/Theta/Tri Delt

LOWER MID:
GPhi/APhi/DG/KD

BOTTOM (in order):
SK
Phi Mu
Zeta
Sigma

Mid tier is kinda messy, a lot of houses could be rearranged but I think this is a general majority rank

As long as these aren't in any order within tiers, it is 100% accurate. For example, Theta and TriDelt are ahead of Kappa, but all listed are upper mid tier. With their recent loony-ness and grades, I am tempted to drop APhi to bottom tier, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and keep them where they are. But if it continues they should be switched with Zeta.

Really zeta? You're going to start this whole thing over again? You are one of our worst houses. You are ranked ONLY above sigma. No mid tier for you!

Here's an example of their recently loony-ness for all to see. I'm not a Zeta, but for the life of me I can't figure out why Alpha Phi -- a house that is a bottom dweller grade-wise, who has to COB every semester, who loses members right and left and whose members have a magnetic attraction to this site -- considers themselves above Zeta. Get it together, APhi. Rush is coming and right now you look pretty stupid.

What about the fact that Zeta loses more girls, has worse grades and literally gets the pretty-ish girls that none of the other pretty houses wanted because they had faults in their personalities....? To say Zeta is above APhi is such a joke

Don't mind @example it's just the lunatic Aphi/accounting major hater at it again. She's just your average awkward GDI. Pay no mind

Lower Mid:

Bottom:

Based on desirability.

Girls seeking social houses will go Pi Phi>GPhi>Tridelt>APhi/DG>Zeta

Girls seeking academics will go XO>Theta>Kappa>AXO>ADPi>KD

The stragglers will go to the houses that remain lol

Can we put to rest this ridiculous stereotype that you are either social or academic, but that you can't be both? My house has a GREAT gpa, full of extremely smart girls. They also are social and pretty. And the girls in my house aren't the only ones. People who insist on sticking every person into one of two categories (unless you are a "straggler," whatever that means) are so 1950s. Why in the world are we perpetuating an outdated notion?

All houses embody everything, I was in no way trying to say that they're only one of those things, these houses each are a little stronger in one area than the other. XO, Pi Phi, Kappa and AXO are all very strong on both sides. And ALL sororities are fair in all areas.

I agree w ^ but obviously these are the only criteria the op used.
In general it is all in what you are looking for. Some of the "non academic" houses have a few girls who struggle academically, but unlike some houses- the girls are not abandoned but encouraged and lifted up to help them succeed. True Sisterhood!

If the sisterhood was stronger, the girls who are struggling in non-academic houses would get the help they need and would no longer be struggling. That's the definition of a sisterhood: you reach out your hand to your sister who needs help --- until she doesn't need it any more. You might want to try it Alpha Phi, and then some of those amazing sisters you talk about wouldn't be flunking out or dropping out.

Sisters don't let sisters drive drunk. Sisters don't let sisters be abused. And sisters don't let sisters flunk out. It's that simple.

Plenty of girls get help, plenty of girls don't want it and came to party. Nice sweet girls, great sisters, but you can't force anyone to study. I realize that this is this crazy new idea you came up with that you keep repeating all over the place (what a genius you are!) but you're wrong and you don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about.

I guess that's the kind of girl you get when your house doesn't have grade cuts. Sorry.

Most of the girls end up coming back and are better than ever so don't apologize, we're all still besties, I appreciate your genuine concern though.

Bump because someone (an alumni) is making new threads that are incorrect. This list is the most accurate.
