This is right and probably fairly unbiased. Theta is top in academics, Gphi is top in social, I think it makes complete sense for them to be in the top 5. The other "well rounded" houses still aren't good enough to be top yet, maybe one day, but you really can't say AXO is a desired house going into rush. They have great girls but only mediocre return rates. They choose their girls well and they have XO's position on their mind but it will take a lot of time to get there. They're still very average all around. And Kappa is so just irrelevant, during rush and throughout the year. They just aren't an "it" house for any type of girl.

KKG barely has a specific type of girl, I think they just end up acting the same after they join tbh. I think Theta is definitely the stronger niche and ADPi is like the lowest of all academic houses, aside from KD, so they're like lower mid

You're joking, right? KKG recruits ONE type of girl. STL brats from the elite private school circuit who have had everything handed to them for their entire lives. It really doesn't get more specific and transparent that KKG. They have a type and their type has a bad attitude and access to Daddy's money.

I agree with the original poster. GPhi and KKG are our next two "best" houses, even if you don't like their style. Which, let's be real, most people don't. Which is why GPhi and KKG are normally upper middle tier houses instead of top tier. But when you ask for a top five you need to find two more houses to fill those spots.

This is the first time I have ever heard that Kappa recruits exclusively from St. Louis private schools. In my experience, Kappa has a lot of out-of-state girls who couldn't get into Illinois, Wisconsin, Georgia, Minnesota etc. who settled for Mizzou and then settled for Kappa. Plus a lot of random girls from all across Missouri. Nothing elite about Kappa. In fact, I don't know even one Kappa who had that house as her first choice.

^This. Kappa isn't a bad house but they're in no way desired. They all come across miserable and are really strange looking, not even sure they belong in the mid tied tbh... But they are really involved so they can't be as miserable as they appear lol

why is it a huge deal that Gphi and Kappa get the "specific type of girl" that they want every year! Gphi gets pretty girls who like going out and that's all... it's not like every house is striving for that type of girl so why should that make them top? the houses that are top should be the houses that get well-rounded girls with awesome personalities, not girls that only care about one thing so no other house is dying for them
