At my school if you were out of the country dealing with family issues, you would get an incomplete for that semester, make up the work and get a decent grade. Or possibly be allowed to pass/fail those courses. I'm sorry if you really had issues to deal with, but I'm even more sorry that you make excuses for yourself.
