bids

If I remember correctly last year around 500-600 girls that signed up for recruitment didn't end up getting bids. I know that number sounds terrifying but most of it is girls dropping out because they don't think they have any "good" houses left. Regardless of what this website says all of our houses are good and have something to offer. Trust the system, make grade cuts, and be friendly and you'll be fine.

Well you have to have a good attitude going into it first off. Second, grades are actually very important so if you don't have them now wait until informal rush. There is a house for everyone, who cares what house is the most popular or what not. You are going to be with these girls for the majority of your college years, and being the person who dropped is no fun. So REALLY try to find the house you are most comfortable, and have the most fun at.

Yes-everyone should get a bid. This year is totally unpredictable-panhell has NO IDEA what type of girl is coming in because of the low enrollment. Rumor has it that U of M lost most of their top students that would normally come in-this WILL affect sorority recruitment!
Go through recruitment. People on this board will tell you they will cut you automatically with a 3.0-NO ONE can say what will happen this year until acceptance scores are released by the university-and the probability of that happening before registration is slim to none. (Not the universitys fault-it's never HAD to be done before).
Go through recruitment regardless of your gpa. Meet people. You will meet girls on your floor and in your dorm also. IF you don't get a bid, this will be the PERFECT year to go through informal or COB-certain houses COB all year. Just let it go and go with the process. PLEASE disregard the trolls on t his site-if you really have serious questions call greek life at mizzou. Bottom line though-DON'T let these trolls discourage you(yes, even Top houses will most likely be lowering their gpa requirements this year!)

It also depends on how popular the house is. You have an easier chance to get in a "bottom tier" house like sigma, zeta, phi mu, or SK versus a top house that is more selective like chi o or pi phi. Top houses have higher GPA requirements, so if you have a low GPA you may only be able to get in a bottom tier house.
