quick question about gpa
by: thinking about rush?So I'm planning on going through rush to pledge a sorority, but I know that sororities here are very competitive about GPA. I have a 3.0 GPA. Would I be cut from every house just because of it? Also, do you use the unweighted or weighted. Do you use the core class GPA that is used for applying to mizzou or the one on my official transcript?

You can't be too surprised that you got a sassy response from a website full of the mean girls of Greek life, you're smart not to care about tiers
Pretty sure we use whatever is on your transcript and a 3.0 will not get you cut from every house but it will get you cut from houses with high standards when it comes to grades. Lots of involvement and making a connection with the girls will keep you from being cut in houses that you are a grade risk

To Ya Know--Are you sure about that? Because even 'top' houses are holding back on making that call right now until they see what type of girls are coming in this year. The university, panhel and all others know this is a totally unpredictable year with enrollment down 2.500 students(with Missouri State recording record enrollment). Out of state student enrollment is down here-there can be a lot of top women who have chosen an education elsewhere, so for you to already tell someone they would be cut from your house pretty much shows you are most likely one of the trolls on this board. To OP, ignore the negative feedback you see-they are not necessarily even in greek life, there are a lot of people who just like to troll these boards.

Yes, I am absolutely sure of it. PanHell still recommends nothing less than a 3.5 and in my wildest dreams I can't see us taking someone with a 3.0. Even our grade risks have a 3.3 or higher. I understand you like to get in a dig every chance you get about how awful Mizzou is and the dire straits that Greek life will find itself, Well, save your contempt for some other house, because we won't be compromising our standards. Nor will we need to.
