DG has a strong national and was once a great house on this campus. No reason why it can't return to that. It has to have strong leadership and high standards. But it's doable.

Gphi definitely is improving and if they have another great rush this year, look out!

ANOTHER great rush? When did they have their first? On bid day we couldn't believe the rejects who went GPhi.

Despite how you feel about them, I don't think anyone would say they took 'rejects'. And considering the grades and accomplishments so many of those girls had I would have to say you are in one of the houses they didn't choose. While most can be pretty objective, and supportive, of greek life here-sad to see people like you who have to be so immature. There are many houses that had far better recruitments last year and might be shaking things up a bit-gphi, zeta, adpi, axo and even alpha phi, but maybe those houses are not fixated on 'tiers' and maybe that's what's making the difference now. There are plenty of houses that just like to do their own thing and just enjoy true sisterhood rather than concentrate on 'winning', perhaps that is coming through during recruitment and pnm are seeing that. Who knows, but let's give up trying to convince pnm that they are 'chosen' by houses-it's a joint effort, especially if it's a pnm coming in with the whole package.

I know when I went through rush I wasn't interested in the super competitive houses. I felt like my major was going to be challenging enough and the sisterhood and feeling of home was what I knew I needed. On preference day that is exactly what I told all three houses I visited. I recognized which of the three was going to provide that nurturing environment. I can't say it might not have been that way at whatever house I chose, but I have thoroughly enjoyed and grown as I have had the opportunity to comfort sisters and be comforted through disappointments and life stresses. College has been extremely stressful for me. My schedule has been so incredibly packed that I needed a floor of sisters to vent to and hang out with. We don't have our families at college but we build our own. I felt in some houses like I would be constantly monitored and criticized. I picked the right house for me. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't so....

I'm sorry but top? Their grades are barely better than Alpha Phi and DG

To the above gphi hater, why don't you go back and re read what she wrote. Comprehension is clearly not and area of strength for you. Or maybe you just too quickly wanted to put in your jealous dig that you didn't take the time to read it. Now go take your jealousy and anger elsewhere-that last few days seem to have people who are genuinely caring and supportive of their fellow sisters in Greek Life.
