by: PNMI heard around that before going through rush, you should do a social media "clean up" and make sure your accounts are appropriate and cute because houses see them. Is this true or?

Yes this is true, we have rules in our houses about posting pictures with alcohol or red cups and we don't want a girl that is already breaking these rules as a high schooler. Also, it doesn't look great if you have a bunch of swimsuit mirror selfies or generally tasteless posts. If you get in a lot of Twitter fights that doesn't look good either.
This is for the best though, future employers are going to be looking at your social media and its good to get in the habit of making it presentable.

What some PNMs might not know is that from the time PanHel provides the names of the girls going through recruitment we are lurking on all social media platforms to find out more about you. The last thing we want to do is issue a bid to someone who is going to embarrass us and our letters. Also, when you come to our house during rush you are only meeting some of our members. We generally rotate people in and out, but at any given time there are members on the upper floors of our house doing even more lurking. You would be surprised at how many girls we cut because of things they have tweeted or insta'd DURING rush. And the funny thing is they usually aren't talking about our house, but are saying catty things about other houses.

I think everyone should be judged for the rest of their lives on what they do when they're 17, don't you? And no one, I mean NO ONE, deserves a second chance. Oh, and one other thing to keep in mind from Seriously's ^^^ perspective: people can't change.
