This ' here they are' posting is from the -'grades are why I want a sisterhood' segment of the Greek population. I don't care about my Sisters' grades-if they are too bad they will transfer or drop out. Some seriously tight knit groups that are highly desired by pmms in your lower grouping. As far as I am concerned, this wing of Greek life will never stop waving their "We are awesome flag' because they are waaaay too competitive to accept anyone not loving them. One day you might grow up and develop some decent self esteem.

It's about standards. Either you have them or you don't. And I like to hang out with people who aim high and are the best they can be. But you ^^^ wouldn't understand that.

Exactly! I'm a 4.0 accounting student and in a "low GPA" sorority and I wouldn't change a thing about it, my sisters are AWESOME! I have a lot of friends in Pi Phi, GPhi, APhi, AXO and DG. These houses all recruit similar funny, outgoing, sweet girls. Instead of making grades above 3.7 the #1 criteria, they make grade cuts around 3.3 and pay a lot of attention to the girls personality. And I'm sorry to the ADPi's out there who want to convince everyone that grades make a sorority top but if yall recruited based on personality maybe you would like each other more and have a little fun once in a while. The only positive about being surrounded by 4.0 students is that you get a great study group of enthusiastic girls focused on academics. And yep that IS awesome! I know this because despite being in a "low GPA" house I still have that awesome group of overachievers to study with. Sorry but the difference at the end of the day in GPAs isn't a whole lot. And don't tell the accounting student she never took a stats class LOL get over yourselves. To the regular, social girls in the world the rankings are like this:
Pi Phi/XO
Tridelt/Kappa/Aphi (not a socials fave but they are awesome at what they do)
AXO/DG
Zeta/SK/Phi Mu
I left out ADPi and Theta because as awesome as Theta is (honest so much respect for you) they're literally inactive with social events. A social girl would probably avoid that house and ADPi same idea, they're just super nerdy, none of my friends would ever join.

You have to keep in mind that a 4.0 at Mizzou is probably equivalent to a 2.0 at a decent university. Don't forget that

Sad to say our little miss 4.0 accounting student (yeah, right) doesn't know much about Greek life here. First of all, PiPhi has one of the strictest grade cuts of all. AXO isn't far behind. So when you lump them with APhi and DG, it is clear you don't know what you are talking about. And if you truly think you can't be a stellar student and have fun, too, you also don't know much about the top houses on this campus. Oh, and that "awesome group of overachievers you study with"? Too bad they are a figment of your imagination. In short, your post is yet another anti-ADPi rant that is full of lies. Just ignore her. In time she will either go away or the rest of us will.

I was definitely not trying to insult Pi Phi or insinuate they have weak grade cuts, they're top because they master what no other house does - high GPA AND social personality. That's why they're number one... And yes, you can be social and get high grades, like myself and a number of girls in my sorority and (I imagine) the others I mentioned. ADPi... As a whole... Not so much.

Although I agree w/ you a 4.0 at Mizzou for accounting is the equivalent to a 4.0 at any other respected business school... I'm not in humanities here, but on your point it's pretty sad how low the sororities GPAs are considering how easy it really is in most people's majors. But that's not just Mizzou that's everywhere. Then you have ADPi full of arts and philosophy majors with their 3.3 cuum thinking they're something special LOL.

^^^^ What in the world are you talking about. I am a nursing major and it seems half of the people who entered nursing school with me are ADPis and I swear the other half is in business school. Besides, I don't even know ONE philosophy major, much less an ADPi who is an philosophy major. you REALLLY need to shut up because with each and every post you are proving you haven't a clue about what you're talking about. I get it. You don't like ADPi. But that doesn't give you the right to spread lies about them, or my house, or even your house (not that you have one). This really has to stop. I mean, what's in it for you anyway?

Damn, I don't hate ADPi's but you guys are wayyyy too active on here! Can't have too tough of majors if you have that much free time!

Lol how is it that I don't know one ADPi business major if half of them are in business? All the ADPi's I know are in artsy courses like music, philosophy, English, jschool, etc. I do believe you have many nursing majors, every house does.

IF you are in fact involved In greek life at mizzou you most definitely know that those houses had-I will actually admit-schockingly high gpas for a freshman pledge class. AND THAT IS WHY everyone is saying Tri Delt gave away the "pretty, high achieving girls"...take a look at those houses you just bashed..ONLY look at their pledge class...and THIS is what mizzou greek life is talking about!
