Transferring for fall 2015, a lot of the best places will already be full. But check on the Alabama Facebook groups because lots of people are trying to get out of their leases, so you could find a good place there & maybe even get a deal. As for rush, I'm rushing as a sophomore and am planning on driving - not sure if there's even another option. The meetings at the dorms aren't related to rushing; they're just required dorm meetings. Hope that helps a little.
