hazing

i've heard stories this year about zta and alpha phi. most houses don't because they could get in huge trouble now. for my house we signed an anti-hazing form, and if anyone hazed you they would get in huge trouble. it's not as big of a problem now, but a few houses still do it from what i hear.

zta, alpha phi, chi o, phi mu. old row houses have a lot more rumors about hazing because it's "tradition"

The worst thing that will happen to you is getting a ton of attention, free alcohol, & gifts from the older girls. You're going to be so loved by your sorority. Please don't be afraid because I promise there's nothing to be scared of.

Grow up. You're in college now. Not a baby. Like we said, no one hazes. If they do, it's nothing ever bad or embarrassing, but funny. They may call you "pledges" and joke with you but that's as far as it goes.

If you're that terrified then don't rush, plain and simple. No one hazes. If you don't believe that then fine, but don't come on greek rank to try and make yourself feel better. Not gonna happen on here

New members call themselves babies for fun! Baby hooties, baby pandas, baby dolphins, have you never heard any of these before? It's fun. No one ever says it in a humiliating way! You will probably call yourself that. No active says that trying to humiliate you. We love you and we worked our butts off to get you in our house. We would never want to hurt you. I actually think there are some organizations that don't let their chapters call their new members "baby ____" anymore, though. But I'm not sure which ones. The point is, it is nothing serious in any way. If there was any sort of hazing whatsoever at all I wouldn't be in a sorority!
