So there is 1 yes and 1 no. I just wanna know before I waste time and money. Of course I won't rush If it would kill my changes. we've been together for 4 years and he's way more important that rushing but I still wanna do it so bad. More than anything almost. I just wanna know if that will hurt me cause I know how the south is, being from the south myself.

I would say to go for it. You might know who the bigots are by who drops you. I feel like this really would not hurt your chances as a whole, though...at least it wouldn't for my sorority. If you want it bad, then by all means, do it.
The South is often a really screwed up place. As I said earlier, hold your head high and fight for the equality that Alabama still does not have.
