Or perhaps you mean having a large amount of choice ingredients, like a "rich" dessert?
My point is this: whatever "rich" you are asking about, we can tell after a little while.

What's the difference between upper-middle class and actually rich here? My parents make roughly $300k a year but I know some legitimately wealthy girls in my city who party with celebs and go to Ibiza/Spain/Caribbean/music festivals at the drop of a hat. How much is enough to not feel uncomfortable at the Old Row houses?

since we are talking mountain brook, as a benchmark, would say that is probably a little lower than average. MB has a lot of docs, partners in big law firms, top officers in banks, investment companies, and a lot of business owners. They do better than 300k. But MB does not have a lot of girls who jet off to Spain, either. Don't worry. It's not like these girls are filthy rich. But they do not lack for anything either. 300 in Bama is upper middle. Lots of parents make that kind of money, especially if both parents work.
