If you're on Greek Rank or you're listening to all the gossip about which houses are best, you're going to come into recruitment with some unfortunate baggage. You'll see this said on here often, but all our houses are good and we all interact. It doesn't matter if you're a AXO, a PM, a DZ, or a G Phi, we're all friends and we all work together on lots of activities. If you psych yourself out and quit recruitment because you are released from the 3 or 4 or 8 houses that you "feel like are right" for you, you will be cheating yourself out of a lifetime of fun. My mom still has lunch once a month with her pledge sisters from the B'ham area. I actually cut her house even though I was a legacy and went with a house I felt like was more like me. Could I have been happy there, though? Yes. I think I would have had an amazing time.In fact, I know I'd be happy in any house. But if you're disappointed and mopey on bid day because you didn't get your #1 house, you're not going to enjoy it as much as if you put a smile on and act enthusiastic. Every enthusiastic girl I've ever heard about has ended up happy no matter the house. The sad sacks that dropped out of recruitment were never happy. Some of them went through recruitment again, dropped out again, then refused a COB invitation because they didn't want a "lower" house. Now they're independent and will ever have the kind of sisterhood that we all have! So shape up and bring your best attitude.

This is great advice. The next few weeks on here will have houses starting all kinds of rumors for tent talk in hopes of helping themselves during rush. Do not form your opinions from the next few weeks if you are new to this site.
