Well there's no such thing as a "fake" sorority or a "real" sorority, just to clear things up. All sororities are sororities.

SDT has a long history at Alabama, which is why their nationals lets them still operate, but their chapter is very small and they do not participate in formal recruitment because they do not have the numbers to do recruitment like the other chapters. They do have a house, but it's over on fraternity row. They used to own the old Alpha Phi house that got torn down last year, but they couldn't afford to keep it because of numbers. I really wish SDT Nationals would put in more effort to make SDT a competitive chapter at Alabama, not only because it would help them out, but it would also help out the rest of us by bringing down pledge class size.
