Other schools charge around 1500 per semester. Why is bama's so high in comparison?

Yes. Your dues include meal plans through the house. Every house has kitchen staff (with the exception of zeta, I'm not sure what they're doing) and they provide you breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday-Thursday and breakfast & lunch on Fridays. They also provide gameday meals

Yes.^^^ as a freshman you eat there the most. Just about every single meal! You'll spend tons of your time there as a freshman, your sorority house will be where you go before and after class, you'll go there to study, and you'll go there to lounge around and watch tv with your sorority sisters. You definitely use it. It also includes a fully stocked snack kitchen everyday- with sandwiches, juices, milk, cereal, bars, candy, crackers, everything!

Yeah, most schools don't include a full meal plan. I know at UGA you only get one free meal a week if you live out.

That's not a free meal. You pay for it.

Sorry- I mean "free" as in you don't get penalized for eating it, it's in the dues.
