why are pigtails the official aphi hairstyle?

I know some guys that are in fraternities here at bama and the other night they told me that pigtails were the official hairstyle of aphi. I asked why and they started laughing and said they were like handlebars. Why does aphi even have an official hairstyle? Do all sororitys have official hairstyles? When I'm rushing do I need to wear the official hairstyle of the house if I want a bid? Plz help I am so confused and I just want some answers.

Ok honey, you obviously didn't get the joke. A lot of people bully the Alpha Phis. When the guy said handlebars he meant steering when the girl was giving head. A lot of people are way rude
