cost
by: Nervous freshmanWhat is a realistic coat for a freshman (or thereafter) in a sorority. I want to rush but college is already so expensive

Realistically, around $4000+ per semester. My sorority's dues are on the cheaper side (around $3200) but we still shell out money for other required things like that we have to get that aren't required in our dues. There are also optional things that you will want, like tshirts and clothes from date parties and swaps.

^^^ and that's per semester. I'm living in a sorority house and my parents just got what they owe for the year and it's about $13,000+
If I weren't living in the house it would be about $7000+ per year. It's pretty unreal how expensive they are. You have to really love it and really get involved to get the most out of it, in my opinion.
