Try not to get caught up in tent talk or tier talk. Think about where you would really fit in, as the person you are, not as the person you aspire to be. In other words, if you are a cute girl with average grades you might have a hard time fitting in with one of the brainy houses or the beauty queen houses, while you would right at home with girls similar to you. And you may have more fun, because you can relax and be yourself, rather than always trying to be someone you really aren't.

After the first round, pay attention to what houses you look for first. Those are probably the ones you're the most comfortable at. You'll just kind of know which ones to drop. Not because they're bad, but because there are others you couldn't imagine dropping. I recommend taking notes. Especially the first round, all of the houses run together. After every round of recruitment, I would write notes and it would be like, "Phi Mu - Super sweet, but didn't really feel at home with the first girl. LOVED the second girl, talked about fried fridays and zoo animals" or what have you. It really helped me differentiate all of the houses.
