It wouldn't even compare. You're competing against 2500 other girls. You will cry. A lot. You will be so emotionally and physically drained that you don't even want to talk to anyone at the end of the day, not even your mom or roommate. It's the most draining but rewarding and fun process. It's just very very competitive and cut throat. I don't know what other schools are like, but at Alabama you are never guaranteed a bid

There are a lot of reasons.

1. More girls go through recruitment here. We will have 2500+ girls coming through, which is a heck of a lot when compared to other schools--even other big SEC/Greek schools.

2. In Alabama, girls literally start preparing for sorority recruitment when they get to high school and are very serious about it. There were girls at my high school that had 3 recs for every house by the December before recruitment started.

3. Alabama is built on tradition and that also includes fraternities and sororities. We honestly have the best Greek system in the country and have great support from the university and alums, which means that we can do pretty much whatever we want--including being super picky during recruitment.
