dg
by: TransferHi, I am going to be transferring from a school in California where DG is one of the top houses, I was just curious what their rep is at Bama and if they would be open to transfers?

They recolonized in 2011, so they are the newest sorority on campus. They have done extremely well in these few short years and have passed a few "bottom" houses. They still have a long way to go, and they are still way way below the "top" houses, but they are a great chapter! Not to mention they're new house is BEAUTIFUL. I've heard great things about them, but since I am not one, I can't tell you from personal experience. You might love it or you might hate it, but It's worth a shot! Good luck!

House on campus, so not a solid rep yet- really just a cluster of random girls. Would say they're in the bottom three (gphi, theta and dg). They were able to build a new house, but in my opinion the least attractive out of the new houses. If you don't care about the "rankings", go for it, affiliate. The great thing about rankings is they always change

You don't HAVE to affiliate immediately. You might want to wait a semester. Let them know you're on campus, go visit and hang out, get to know the girls.
If you like them, then affiliate.
But if you affiliate and find out that you don't like them, your only recourse would be to 1)transfer to a different school, at least for a semester, 2)go early alum, although there are specific requirements and it's not that easy, or 3)resign from the Fraternity.
If you hold off affiliating and find you don't get along, then you will still be a DG and have alumnae standing

Why is theta considered so low? They seem like one of the really good ones to me based on tea day.
