fraternity rush

So I'll be transferring to UA this year, but I'll be a sophmore. I was going to pledge at my current school, but freshmen were only allowed to pledge during their second semester.

I have a couple friends who go to UA who are apart of a "new row" fraternity and I was curious as to know if it is difficult to receive a bid from "old row" fraternities.

P.S. I'm from the north.
