class rank
by: PnmOkay so I have a 3.6 GPA, but my school is extremely competitive, and because of that, I'm in the bottom half of my class rank-wise.. Is that going to be a red flag for houses when looking at my resumé/transcript or do houses put more weight on GPA than class rank? Just wanna know if it's something I should be worried about

I'm in basically the same situation cuz my school was very very competitive, and I took 8 AP classes and had a 3.9 gpa, but we don't class rank (but I still know that I would be middle/bottom Cuz most of the high achieving kids only took honors and AP giving them close to 5.0s rather than me who took a sport and 2 electives all 4 year's which werent weighted classes so my gpa is closer to 4.0)
That was a bit of a tangent, but what I was really meaning to say is that as long as you have one thing really good like grades (which you do!!!) And other valuable assets, then they aren't going to turn you away cuz of a bad class rank.

Yea that's good. If your school has actives in your fave house they will be your witness. :). If you get cut it won't be for grades.
