At preview weekend I was told that you were allowed to get recommendations from actives they just couldn't be actives at Bama, But I've messaged with actives in the past saying that you were not allowed to get recs from actives and that they solely had to be alumn? Can someone please clear this up for me

It's different for each sorority. For my house, current actives can write recs for pnms that are not rushing at their school. But I know other houses require recs to be written by strictly alums. You just have to find out on a case by case basis.

You can get recs from actives, they are just valued as much. But if you have one from an alum and from an active, then okay
