phi mu house
by: confusedokay I'm really confused...so phi mu's letters are on an older house right now and there is a lot with the picture of their new house next to it. the white house is the one in the picture. but there are pictures of the same exact house already built on the internet and social media and stuff. can someone explain this to me? did they used to have a big white house and they tore it down and moved into an older one temporarily while they rebuild a new house that looks just like the old one? i am just beyond confused about this

It's not the same house, their new one is a very similar, much larger version of the previous house. Most chapters try to include elements of the old house in the new one but phi mu is building almost an exact copy of their old one.

oh okay. thats what i thought! i love that house and i cant wait to see the new one. whether i go phi mu or not it will probably be my favorite of the newer houses! it is just so beautiful! thanks!

I agree, my chapter has a new house too that I love but phi mu's is very well done architecturally.

Um no I'm not retarded. I am not from Alabama and I do not know every detail about every house on campus. All I knew is that I had seen the picture in front of their new lot of the new house which looked to me exactly like the one that I've also seen in pictures from past bid days and stuff. It was a valid question

Please don't think we are all like @Uh. That was totally wrong to suggest such a thing. It is embarrasing. For all we know, @uh is somebody that is not even part of the UA greek system, but is a mean-spirited troll. It was a fine question, particularly if you are not well versed in the details of sorority row and the various changes happening, which we are all excited about.

but what is the white house that is in pictures already??? like on their tumblr page there are a few pictures from bid day in front of a big beautiful white house which is the same one thats in the picture in front of the empty lot???
