What kind of high school GPA is alpha chi looking for? I have a 3.6 with lots of ap courses and a 4.0 for 12 hours of dual credit

That's good. I'm an AXO, I had a 3.64 Gpa, no dual credit but also several in house connections

Definitely it's who you know. 3.0 will get you in if you have connections.

Define connections... like you're friends with them, sometimes talk with them?

Depends. If you're from a small town, the girl you know better be a really good friend of yours and she had better be a star in the sorority to get you in. If you're from a wealthy area then a few girls who know of you because your parents are friends or you were on the high school sports team together would be enough to establish that you have a good reputation and you're in. I'm not in AXO but I am old row and I knew two girls from my high school from soccer and they were a junior and senior so they didn't know me really well in High School. But other actives knew of my high school and knew older girls that graduated from my school and we've always done well so I guess that helped me. For grades I had around 3.3 and got credit for 8 AP tests with a 2110 SAT.

I knew a girl who went AXO with no connections but she had a really good resume.
Keep an open mind. Everyone house at Alabama is great, and AXO is not the only house who is grade oriented. You sound lovely, I'm sure you'll find your home. :)
