no-contact period

So i'm connected to a lot of actives on social media. We like and comment on each others pictures. Does all of that stop on May 1st? Are they allowed to like my pictures? and vice versa? I just don't want to break any rules! Thanks :)

Actives' contact with PNMs is supposed to stop the first. There aren't any rules for PNMs obviously because you're not affiliated with Panhellenic yet, they don't have control over you. If an active contacts you just be polite, "thanks but no thanks."

If I were you, I would just leave the social media alone and not comment on their stuff and don't post stuff that would invite comment from them (or don't get miffed if they don't comment any more). You already have clearly been working it and probably have a leg up, so no need to pile on. Your work here is done....

I know there isn't allowed to be any contact between the two parties but i'm not sure if it is limited to instagram comments.

I don't think it is limited to instagram. On insta, twitter, FB and other social media, if you are friends/followers anyway, you are good to do what you would normally do. But some houses encourage or require their actives to refrain from liking/favoriting/etc just to avoid any issues. If you are not already friends, then you probably should not initiate a friend or follow request after May 1 and, certainly, they should not initiate or accept. And don't think snap chats don't get screen shotted. XO can tell you about that...

The pnm is allowed to like and comment instagram and facebook posts. No one will hold that against you. The active is not allowed to contact you in any way- even as small as liking an Instagram could get them fined $150. But it does not hurt you in any way.
