yes, unless you have a reputation risk (bad social media, rumors, etc) if you are a theta legacy & you pref theta you're on the bid list.

The OP asked about ZTA and ADPi too. Any information on whether they deal with legacies (like sister sister, mom daughter, grandmother-granddaughter, not cousins or aunts) the same way as Theta? I do understand that XO does not treat it that way and even direct legacies only get a pass for one round.

really, i get it on the old rows having so many southern girl legacies that they cannot deal with the numbers and, unless than want a house full of legacies, they have to limit what they can do for legacies. On new row, which is where I am interested, the legacy numbers seem different and so they are more respectful of national policies on legacy. Is that a correct read? If so, what new row have a very high number of legacies?

I wasn't a legacy, but had good recs for ADPi and we clicked during recruitment. It doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things if you are actually a great person who will be an asset to the chapter :)

Both ADPi and Zeta it will get you through 1st round, but after than you can still blow it... Zeta is really looking for a specific girl, so if you are a reach from that image, being a legacy won't help you. Adpi considers sister, mothers and grandmothers to be of legacy status. Adpi will give you special consideration, but if you are a dud, they won't hesitate to release you. Aunts, cousins, in-laws don't mean squat. If your legacy relative held a national office or is a big donor, it may have some extra pull. Also, if your legacy relative has CURRENT connections to active alums associated with the chapter, it may help. But if your mom was a member of a sorority in Maine, it probably won't mean nearly as much.
Remember, all houses will know a lot about their legacies before they come through, so you might be given extra scrutiny. If they know you aren't a fit, they will probably do you the favor of releasing you after first round so you can maximize your options elsewhere.

So if a girl is a legacy to theta and has a good GPA and personality they should be successful throughout recruitment, with theta?
