going to teas alone today?

No one that I know very well from my high school is rushing (I'm out of state), so I'll be going to teas alone today. I'm a little shy when I first am getting to know people. Is it going to be awkward? Any advice?

I don't have any advice but as a pnm, I am also out of state and do not know anyone either. I am going to the teas alone today as well. I went to one last night and it was not weird or awkward at all. The actives were great and very engaging with the conversation. I didn't feel weird at all.
