sorority comments

I plan on posting my experience throughout the week. I have had a wonderful experience so far. I have my tops already picked out. Most of the sororities were really nice except for four of the old row ones which acted as if I was invisible. The sororities that were wonderful and who I felt a connection to were: Pi Beta Phi. Alpha Omicron Pi. Delta Zeta, Delta Delta Delta and Alpha Gamma Delta. Those are my top picks and I will let you know if I get asked back to any of them tomorrow. I am so nervous.

Come on girls, Alpha Phi could care less about Phi Mu. They are no concern of theirs. Just come down off your pedestal and chill.

I am a kappa legacy but had a wonderful experience with the following sororities, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta ( so sweet), Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Omicron Pi, Phi Mu and Zeta

i plan on only pledging old row so my top picks so far are phi mu, kappa. kd, alpha chi omega, chi o and tri delta

I think the guilt party behing all these negative attacks is Alpha Phi. This is there first year and they are trying to make everyone else look bad. The bad Economy has them worried because they have not found there niche at Bama. They are trying to move up the ranking board.

Ok, To Rushee good job making your own mind up based on your experience during rush. To old row bad job, you may just miss out on something special by going into rush with a closed mind. All the sororities you named are good but there are others that might be better and you have just shut the off because of some BS you heard back home.

Just stop blaming Alpha Phi for all of your problems. For your info, they have found their niche here as you put it. I doubt if they are worried about the bad economy this week either. Now is definitely not the time for all the slamming. People like you give Bama greeks a bad rep. Stop ruining rush for everyone else.

To the poster below, you must be an alum who has been away from Bama for a long time because everyone knows old row no longer means anything. Heck half of the self appointed old row sororities are now widely considered in the bottom half of the sorority rankings. As many have said the old row thing is nothing more than a marketing gimick but I guess there are still a few uninformed girls going through rush who fall for it.
