Agree with Actually---those sororities mentioned below will accept those with a low GPA

I'm assuming you aren't in a sorority. If that were the case, you wouldn't have listed a group of houses that will accept lower GPA's because it's unknown, membership selection :)

And I doubt an active would say or agree with "a low GPA especially those pretty girls..with a great resume"--she did have to add "Correct me if I am wrong."

LISTEN: School is over, you've already accumulated whatever GPA that we'll have come rush.

Enjoy your summer, brush up on conversation skills and come mentally prepared. It's all said and done and there's no need to worry. Enjoy your summer and come well prepared. The more you enjoy your summer, the easier it'll be to break the ice and converse.

Recs DO NOT guarantee you a bid. Being a legacy DOES NOT guarantee you a bid. Having a high GPA DOES NOT guarantee you a bid. Having a low GPA(within reason) DOES NOT mean you will NOT receive invites or bids.

However, come rush if we haven't received recs or you have a low GPA and your resume lacks, expect to be heavily cut.

Please, if you're cut, do not let it discourage you and please fight it out until the end. ALL houses here are great and we're all known for having a strong sisterhood down here in 'bama. It's the stereotype of us and it's true for the most part.

Enjoy your summer and have fun with rush!

how you assume someone is OOS because they ask a question. Yes, they probably are but U of AL is known across the country as a safety and they admit people from all over with way below a 3.00. Think in the low 2.0's and 900 SAT/16 ACT range was one I know of and got info for. The school and these girls are set up for failure at Greek life before they even walk on campus.

College admissions =/= sorority recruitment

Admission into Bama is not hard nor is it competitive; however, bama also has one of the most competitive recruitments in the country

Just because a person was admitted here does not mean she'll receive a bid or invites after the first round.

Greek life and academics here couldn't be any less similar lol

But girls who have connections into sororities here don't have to come here to ask questions is what I'm saying. Girls from Alabama are practically groomed for recruitment their whole lives and come from strong Greek backgrounds or have some knowledge of how competitive it is here.

Admissions =/= recruitment

I'm an Alpha Gam and I'd really like to know how DG thinks they are above us. It's obvious they keep coming on here and putting themselves higher than they could possibly be. DG -- you are brand new. No one knows where you'll land in the rankings, but you're at the bottom for the time being. Please quit making fools of yourselves. That kind of stuff doesn't fly at Alabama.

I am active and yes they do..Don't fret too much low GPA PMA...You will be fine but don't be surprised by huge cuts. However there are sororities that will accept you. Good Luck!! : )
