ah, if you are referring to me who said I had to answer your question, and actually I'm doing just fine on my college exams. I have a 3.9 gpa and I'm not struggling with stupid TA's. I manage just find without their help. Also, I find no need to suck up to the teachers. Most of my classes have around 90+ students so why on earth would I try to suck up to a teacher with a class that big? Anyways, I was responding to other posts on this page. However, I will answer your question even though you were incredibly rude. Snap-bid are bids given to girls who are not on the original bid list. This only occurs if a sorority does not reach quota on bid day. This will not occur at the University of Alabama because of how many girls that will be going through rush. Snap-bids are extremely rare and it won?t happen during Bama rush.

a big problem with college these days is that they're only out to make a buck, and since this is the South, they're counting on us to get with the program ...aka...continuous donors of said money. You can tell the colleges where they assume we're saps because they have good sports programs. Decent colleges don't have them because they don't need them.

The UA greek system is AMAZING, However, it lacks one thing that even the smallest and most pathetic greek systems have: DIVERSITY. If you're not rushing Sigma Delta Tau and you are African American or Latino, or any mix of the sort that does not have 'Anglo-saxon' features, you will not find sisterhood here. I no longer attend this school, but I know the ins and outs of the NPC here, (the frats are a little more open) and they're not pretty. Still stuck in that old south mindset as far as what girls get into their sororities. Take a look at just whose in them, and if you come from a more diverse environment, you'll see it. If you're from the AL area or somewhere similar you won't. I love the south and I love southern schools but good lord UA (mainly the NPC) it's time to move F O R W A R D. Diversity is the next step.

PNMs,
I come from a very good, well-recognized sorority. I am not saying this because my sorority has a bad ranking on here. I am just saying to pay NO MIND to these rankings. They were created by pathetic girls that worry way too much about stuff like this and have nothing better to do with their time. This is my first time on here, and I am shocked by the rankings and the comments. This site, in no way shape or form, properly reflects the APC at Alabama. Come through recruitment with an open mind!

maybe I am missing something...what is the benefit to being in a "desired" sorority? Better yet, what is a desired sorority? What does it offer taht the others don't ? Is it a guarantee to get great grades? A guarantee to a healthy happy life? it seems like middle school and "sitting at the right lunch table". you are ALLLL pathetic. I was going to go through recruitment., but after all this... I would rather sit at the "not popular" lunch table.
