just found this site...is it possible for someone as nicely as possible list ALL the sororities and the overall order in which they would be placed (NON resident student) please include ALL and use the most current info i already have the GPAs.. I know all houses have strengths and weaknesses. Just trying to get a general idea. I actually dont want to be in a "top" house...I would like more middle of the road. Im looking forward to coming to Alabama :) Roll Tide!! Thank you!

I really don't think she was being pretentious. However, I do NOT think you need a so called list. Trust me on this...any sorority you feel right with will be the TOP of the heap. Go with your heart, but don't be too disappointed if they drop you. It's the nature of the beast, sometimes they know better than you what's best. Enjoy the process and find "your" sorority! It will be the one for you. Never let anyone else tell you what's better, you'll know when you know.

I agree with Simma Down.
What is important to you may not be to some random person on a blog.
Go in with open eyes and heart! And pay no attention to the poster who said you should already be invited to parties.
Especially if you are OOS! Just work on getting recommendations and attend Preview Day if possible

has almost something for everyone. If you notice there are 20 sororities listed here and that does not include DG yet. I think UA is planning on adding more chapters next year or in the near future. This is because the demand is extremely high. Being part of UA's greek family is an honor no matter which sorority you end up pledging. You will hear all sorts of stuff about top tier, old row, prettiest, etc., but in the end you need to pledge where you see yourself belonging.

When my son first left college,
his dad gave him advice for life:
you can date each and every Kappa
But bring home a THETA for a wife.
You can party with the Tri delts, and it's fine to date a Zeta, but when it's time to marry, be sure to find a THETA
Chi O's can be on your agenda and Pi Phi's are fun are to date, but never forget that you'll want a THETA for your mate.
We want you to enjoy your college years and give all the sororities a spin. But never buy a ring unless KAT is on her pin. During your 4 years, you go from one house to another, but take the advice of your smiling ole Dad and bring home a THETA to your mother!
