South Carolina isn't really strong in anything though. They're like the Somalia of the South. When you drive from the border into South Carolina, there's a sign that reads -- "Lost a bet, didn't ya?"

okay 1) the crimson tide were having what was referred to as a "sophomore slump", it's a natural grace period between the time you get the trophy to the time when you have to defend it. During said time...you enjoy the fruits of your labor. And you get a bit pudge-like. You don't work out as much. Nobody repeats as national champions. Maybe Nebraska did once. One team in the game's whole history. But this January in the BCS, Tide will have 2 in 3 years.
