It means that a sorority doesn't invite you back to the next round of parties. After each round, they decide who they want to keep getting to know and considering for a possible bid after Pref. Everyone gets dropped by some, and when it happens to be one of your favorites, it can hurt but you just have to keep moving forward. Focus on the ones who do invite you back, find new favorites and give all the houses a chance. Of the PNMs who don't get bids here, it's mostly because they don't like their return invites after one of the rounds and drop out of recruitment on their own. Some really regret it, so as long as you're getting invites, stick with the process. Give it through Pref before deciding to drop out. Your best shot at a bid here is during formal recruitment fall of your freshman year. Dropping out and re-rushing as a sophomore is very high-risk at this school.
