How do sororities get their lists so early for rush when rush is 8 months away?

Amy from Akron OH knows Barbie who is enrolling at Alabama. Victoria from Vestavia Hills AL knows 8 girls who are coming to UA. Sorority members also troll the "Class of 20__" Facebook pages. Alums are already sending in recs on friends' daughters, nieces, Some PNMs are e-mailing the sororities asking for info.
Then when you sign up for spring preview, they'll get those lists from Panhellenic.
And so on, and so forth.

Because rush does not ever stop. We're constantly adding people to our lists as in-house girls hear that they'll be attending Alabama.
