If you're gorgeous but have a potty mouth or sleep with anything in pants, you won't be invited back to too many houses.
If you're a big girl but have a great personality, they'll be interested.
The main thing is grades, followed by activities and honors, followed by volunteer experience, followed by looks.
For GUYS, looks are No. 1, but guys are not issuing bids to sororities.

If you wanna go phi mu or ZTa looks absolutely matter ..... if you want to go kd, chi o, dg, tri delt, alpha gam, Gphi or just about anywhere else, looks don't matter

Unfortunately, yes. Even the lower-tier houses are becoming more cut-throat because there are SO MANY beautiful girls going through rush. Coming from someone in a lower-tier house, we feel more pressure to find "pretty" girls, because we are trying to improve our reputation (it's incredibly shallow and stupid, but that's how it is). That said, it's a mutual process, but ultimately, the system sorts everyone out. Honestly, make preferences based on where you feel the most "at home" and comfortable. Otherwise, it's not worth the time or money, and you will be miserable. Please don't go into rush thinking, "I have to be in the Barbie House", because there will always be someone prettier/smarter/wealthier than you in every house. Do what is right for you!
