Rankings can be broken down into respected houses and party houses. Not that one is better than the other, just that they are different.
Old row respected: alpha chi, alpha gam, chi o, phi mu
Old row party: Tri delt, KD, kappa
New row respected: Pi phi, aopi, ADPi
New row party: zeta, alpha phi, Dz
Not really relevant: DG, theta, gamma phi

Old row party: SAE, KA, SNU
New row respected: OX
New row party: OX, Pike, Sigma Chi, Pi Kapp

So is it bad to be old row party ... sorority or fraternity? Does that mean you are not respected?

Id rather be in a party fraternity and a respected sorority. As you can see for fraternities they are not mutually exclusive.
