affiliation
by: MidwestI was told affiliating with your sorority when you transfer to Alabama is difficult, and low success rate. Is this true?

I can't speak for every house, only my own, but what happens is the president of the chapter you are leaving contacts our president. You send us your resume and transcript with your GPA and such. You have to have a high enough GPA to fall into our membership standards (for most houses, ifs a 3.0). If our president sees that you fit that requirement, she presents your resume at chapter and the active members vote. In my chapter, we have never voted against someone. We have had multiple affiliates and we've never turned anyone down because by the time she gets to us, her GPA has been verified and we can't wait to add to the family. As long as you have a decent GPA and such, I don't see why they wouldn't take you.
