old row
by: asdfghjklI don't understand all the hatred towards old row. I'm not saying they're any better than new row, but if you were in an old row fraternity/sorority you would probably be buying the t-shirts and enjoying the parties too. Stop putting people down just because they are apart of something that you're not, and that goes for both sides of the issue.

I don't hate old row, but I do hate the attitude that comes along with it--aka people who think they are better than everyone else just because they pay to be part of an organization sponsored by Budweiser. The reason that most sororities are not a part of it is because they can't be sponsored by an alcohol brand so honestly there really is nothing that special about it. Good for you if you're old row, but don't let that give you some type of superiority complex where you look down on every house that isn't.

There is no such thing as old row in panhel or IFC
It is a tag just in BAMA, given to average houses that are sponsored by alcohol companies. Most nationals don't want to be in bed with an alcohol company. Most of this is marketing hype and cheap ppl that are stuck in the past.

If you're going to get mad at someone paying for the label, get mad at phi mu. While sororities like zeta are technically old row, so are sororities like KD, Kappa, TriDelt and Alpha Chi. We were here first, too. We are all actually Old Row sororities and while it sucks Zeta isn't allowed to be, we aren't paying for the status, we are the status.
