Would looks, personality, connections, letters of rec, and reputation over rule a 3.0 gpa?

they look at gpa heavily but they also look at other things as well

There is no grading scale.

There are standards, but let's face it grades come and go, looks will last most of college. Your lifetime activities show commitment. Your personality can show them who you are on the inside. Trouble is a few minutes at a house doesn't show the members who you are, that's why recs are so valuable, and a really good rec from a strong member, is reliable.
