by: bamaalum

Who are zta and aphi looking for this year? I’m a bama alum and my youngest daughter is going there this year (I wasn’t in a sorority but she has legacy’s for both of those through my oldest daughter and my sister (her aunt)

I doubt you are really a mom but if you are the best thing you can do if you want accurate information is to find another source besides GR. It's for entertainment purposes only.

Your sister does not give legacy status to your daughter. Your other daughter's sorority doesn't matter unless she was a member at a chapter at bama and then it would be because of connections, not legacy. A chapter really only cares if a pnm has a sitting sister in the chapter. Legacies don't matter.

Greek rank is not the answer for what they are looking for. Legacy status doesn't mean much here. We have cut sisters of current sisters before.

They’ve both been working to shed the northern party girl rep and seem more like Alabama / OR sororities in terms of how they operate and what girls they take. I know a lot girls who were zeta/aphi types 3 years ago that were shockingly dropped from both this past yr. Think they’re both trying to get more southern girls bc they tend to stay all 4 years unlike the OOS party girls who drop, drop out, transfer, etc. and both don’t want any scandals so girls that seem QR have been ending up in houses like Gphi. All this to say Zeta is still way more strict than Aphi (bc they can be). Aphi wont sacrifice too many pretty girls to other houses for a GPA boost lol.
